Why is there a plus and minus on one of the content descriptors?

"...and those minus and plus signs covering some of the icons, the minus sign is to signify that the content descriptor that it's cover is mild, and the plus sign is to signify that the content descriptor that its cover is like adding the term 'mature' to the descriptor, for example, sexual content is now mature sexual content, and for the minus sign example, language is now mild language, I hope you understand that," says the description of the piece.
